History of the Church Family Dairy Farm -In 1929 the property was purchased by Vernon & Areta Church. Here they built a two room adobe brick home with a fireplace in the middle of the two rooms. Once settled they began to care for their farm animals. As their farm grew they began to give away and eventually sell farm products which included excess milk from the few cows they had. As the herd grew Vernon was approached by the Elementary Principal to provide milk for the school lunches. That was the beginning of Church’s Dairy. Some 90 years later now another Church family a great grandson is continuing on the Legacy of caring for this little Dairy Farm.
